The department of Econometrics and Data Science at the School of Business and Economics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam invites applications for assistant professors and postdocs.

Your tasks:
You contribute to building and extending the department’s reputation for excellence in research by publishing in the top academic journals in econometrics, statistics, and data science. You create a stimulating learning environment for students in these areas at all levels (BSc, MSc, PhD, Executive) in course work and thesis supervision.

We offer a challenging position in an active, thriving research group that wants to empower students with the quantitative skills needed for the future. For assistant professor positions, we offer a well-structured tenure track of 6 years. Post-docs are for an initial 2 years, but can be extended and in some cases lead to tenure as well.

Requirements:
You hold a PhD degree, specializing in econometrics, statistics, data science, or a related field. You have excellent evaluations in teaching courses in these areas. You have a strong research potential, preferably evidenced by publications, and an interest in the development of theory and methodology in econometrics and data science.
