Senior Economist

MITRE is currently seeking a Senior Economist to support the growth of our portfolio of economics work across diverse sponsors. The position will work in a multidisciplinary environment with a collegial team of applied economists who provide an analytic basis for decision-making in topics in aviation, transportation, industrial organization, international trade, finance, financial regulation, and international finance. Necessary skills include advanced econometric analysis (time series, discrete choice, panel, …), cost-benefit analysis, and policy and investment analysis. Expect a team environment with self-motivated, highly trained professionals. This is an applied research environment where tasks are rarely routine and often require novel approaches. Minimum Qualifications
MS or equivalent and 3 years of related experience or PhD. Academic (teaching, research) experience will count toward minimum. Strong attention to detail and accountability required. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer PhD or MS in Economics. Experience with computable general equilibrium modeling is highly desired, not required. Aviation, transportation, industrial organization, international trade, finance, financial regulation, and/or international finance experience is desired, not required.
