Senior Health Economist
MITRE is currently seeking a Senior Health Economist to support multiple projects at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The position will work in a team of other health services researchers, systems engineers, and policy experts. Key functions include developing models and performing quantitative analyses to understand the economic impact of health policies and government programs. Necessary skills for this position include econometric or strategic analysis, manipulating large data sets, statistical and data science tools (e.g. R or Python) and communicating effectively. This is research-oriented position that requires project management, communicating to diverse audiences, and direct sponsor engagement.

Minimum Qualifications: MS or equivalent and 5 years of related experience or PhD. Academic experience will count toward minimum. Strong attention to detail and accountability required.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer PhD in health economics, behavioral economics, public health, or related field. Consultancy and customer relationship interaction experience.
