Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University School of Law (policyintegrity.org) is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow in economics. Policy Integrity is a non-partisan think tank dedicated to improving the quality of government decisionmaking through advocacy and scholarship in the fields of administrative law, economics, and public policy. We work to identify and support economically sound policies related to energy, the environment, public health, and safety.

The fellow will collaborate with legal and economic researchers to prepare policy reports, comments in regulatory proceedings, and journal articles on a variety of issues including energy and climate policy, natural resources management, electricity market design, and benefit-cost analysis. The ideal candidate should have a focus on policy-oriented research in one of the following areas: (1) environmental or resource economics; (2) transportation and vehicle emissions policy; or (3) utility regulation, energy economics/policy, and electricity market design/pricing. Excellent written communication skills required.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by July 2021. The appointment is for August 2021 to July 2022, with the option to renew for a second year. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in independent research.
