The Office of Energy Policy and Innovation (OEPI) at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeks candidates for junior and senior economists.
OEPI provides strategic vision and leadership in the development of energy policy associated with electric and natural gas markets. Economists in OEPI provide economic expertise and empirical analysis capabilities to an interdisciplinary team advancing federal energy policy on cutting edge issues primarily affecting the future of the electric industry. Economists in OEPI work on assignments that include quantitative and qualitative economic and policy research, proposing and implementing policy changes through rulemakings, and/or evaluating and acting on specific case filings.
