The Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City seeks to hire an experienced Ph.D. economist with research interests in topics related to financial markets, macro-finance, banking, financial regulation, and/or financial stability. Primary responsibilities include advising the Bank's president and senior management on policy issues, writing and presenting research findings in peer-reviewed journals, and writing articles for the Bank's external publications. Qualified candidates possess strong analytical and communication skills, and demonstrate the potential to collaborate with other researchers. Candidates for senior professional or officer positions must also exhibit strong leadership skills. A Ph.D. in economics or finance is required. Excellent resources include a collaborative work environment, high-quality research assistants, a high-performance computing environment, and an in-house Federal Statistical Research Data Center (KC FSRDC).
