The Global Priorities Institute (GPI), in partnership with the Department of Economics, offers Research Fellowship openings for Senior Research Fellows.

You will conduct advanced research in economics. At least 50% of your time will be spent on topics directly relevant to GPI's research agenda, which you will help to set. The role requires no teaching and only minor supervision responsibilities, although teaching may be arranged if the fellow would like to do so.

Candidates can apply for either a 2-year or a 4-year fixed-term position (with a possibility of extension). Candidates who would like to be considered for both the 2-year and 4-year positions must apply for both positions separately, but may use the same application materials and need only submit one set of recommendation letters. Both positions are full-time with the University of Oxford. We welcome applications from researchers who might complete a 1- or 2-year fellowship at GPI before giving their notice early and taking up or resuming a faculty position. Visa support is available for successful applicants from overseas. We particularly encourage applications from women, black and ethnic minority candidates, as these groups are underrepresented in economics.
