Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Economics Department at the University of Rochester seeks applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in labor economics for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The Fellow receives one year of support with the expectation that they will pursue research and participate fully in the intellectual life of the Department, with the option of teaching a one-semester course for additional compensation. The fellowship is partially funded by a Smith Richardson Foundation grant that requires some participation in a project with Professor Lisa B. Kahn and Eleanor Dillon (of Microsoft Research). The project focuses on public and private investments in worker training and ways to narrow the skills gap. Candidates with interests in human capital, training, and/or skills gaps are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants must demonstrate that they will receive their Ph.D. in economics by September 1, 2021. The University of Rochester, an Equal Opportunity Employer, has a strong commitment to principles of diversity and actively encourages applicants from underrepresented groups.
