The School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology seeks to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor in labor economics with research at the nexus of labor and development economics. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in microeconometrics and an ability to teach an applied econometrics course at the graduate level. Applicants with an interest in collaboration with our existing strengths in health, environment, and/or international trade are particularly encouraged, as are applicants at the advanced Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The School of Economics is a rapidly growing unit at Georgia Tech, a Research I institution that ranks in the top-10 among public universities. The position offers significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as public policy, international affairs, urban planning, computing, industrial and systems engineering, and civil and environmental engineering.
Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment. Senior applicants should have a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching commensurate with their rank. Junior applicants should show promise for both research and teaching excellence
