The Office of Economics and Analytics (OEA), Federal Communications Commission (www.fcc.gov) anticipates an opening for an Auctions Economist position (GS-12 to GS-15). This position involves development of policy recommendations for FCC auctions and analysis of auction data. Salary range is $86,335 to $170,800. Starting salary will be based on educational achievements, work experience, and research accomplishments.
We seek candidates with expertise in (1) auctions and mechanism design, (2) game theory, or (3) experimental economics. Completion of a Ph.D. degree by the time of hiring is preferred. Experience with telecommunications, media or regulatory policy is desirable.
