The Department of Economics at the University of Manchester is interested in meeting with candidates seeking an Assistant Professorship position, especially those with a background in economic theory (broadly defined).

Qualifications: We are interested in arranging online meetings with candidates whose area of expertise lies in economic theory, broadly defined. A potential appointment would be expected to start 1 September 2021. Applicants must expect to hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field by 1 September 2021 and be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality. In addition to publishing in leading international journals, a successful candidate would be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise Ph.D. students, and contribute actively to the Department’s research environment.
