Full Text of JOE Listing:
We are seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellow. The researcher will work under Nathan Hendren and be housed in the Department of Economics at Harvard University. Appointment to begin July 1, 2021, renewable for a second year based on mutual agreement.
We invite applications from candidates pursuing research in applied microeconomics with an interest or current research agenda in empirical welfare analysis. The position is funded through a grant to Nathan Hendren to support research related to his recent research with Ben Sprung-Keyser on the welfare impact of government policies. The expectation is that the post-doctoral fellow will work a portion of their time on their own independent research, another portion on jointly-authored research projects with Prof. Hendren, and a final portion helping Prof. Hendren expand the database of estimates of the welfare impacts of government policies (which may or may not lead to an academic publication).
We especially encourage applications from backgrounds under-represented in economics. The position is fully funded with no teaching requirements. The salary will be competitive with other top post-doctoral positions in economics.
The successful candidate is expected to have finished a Ph.D. in Economics by the start date.
