EPoD is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow for an exciting new position to help build pedagogical material for courses on the economics of education, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. The position will contribute towards a book focusing on a market/systems-based view of education that draws parallels from the fields of health and finance.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the literature on education (with some knowledge of literature in health and finance) and will be deeply interested in developing material accessible to a wider audience. This includes leveraging new methods of teaching, pedagogy and data visualization to create tools (ranging from teaching slides and asynchronous recorded content to program-based simulations) that help undergraduate and graduate students understand key aspects of the economics of education in LMICs, viewed through theory and empirical research.

We are seeking individuals trained in economics, microeconomic theory, econometrics, and education. Interest and experience in pedagogy, data visualization and data science methods is highly valued.

The position will work closely with Professor Asim Khwaja at Harvard Kennedy School and Professor Jishnu Das at Georgetown University, as well as with other top researchers on specific topics.
