BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD) has initiated DigiDev, an exciting new project to develop the institutional capacities of BIGD and IERC (BRAC’s Independent Evaluation and Research Cell) to conduct rigorous applied research within the BRAC entities and beyond, with a focus on the integration of digital innovations into poverty programs at scale. BIGD seeks to hire a Research Fellow to lead the DigiDev project. The Research Fellow will be responsible for overseeing applied research projects, hosting workshops, and preparing research reports for academic publications. This is an exciting position with the scope for shaping a research agenda on digital innovations and development programmes in Bangladesh and Uganda.
The successful candidate will preferably hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post-qualification research experience. S/he will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in developing research projects and methodologies, a strong publication record, and familiarity with the existing literature in the field of technology for social impact. The candidate should also have practical knowledge of research grant management and project management and be able to effectively collaborate with a wide variety of national and international stakeholders.
