The Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to begin in August 2021. The Tenure home is in the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics, but the position will also be affiliated with the Challey Institute for Global Innovation & Growth (Challey Institute) and the Center for Public Choice and Private Enterprise (PCPE). The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research, teaching and outreach that contributes to the missions of Challey Institute and PCPE.

Teaching responsibilities may include economics courses at the introductory or intermediate level with additional opportunity to teach upper division and graduate level courses in the candidate’s field of expertise. Teaching load will include three courses per year.

Applicants are sought with a specialization in Energy Economics, International Economics, International Macroeconomics, and/or Labor Economics. Candidates with a modern skillset in applied analytical techniques are prioritized. Candidates are particularly sought at the advanced assistant or associate professor level and who incorporate the perspective of Public Choice, New Institutional, or Austrian Economics into their research.
