The Department of Economics at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway invites applications for a position as Associate Professor in Empirical IO. The successful applicant must hold a doctoral degree, have a strong research record within Industrial Organization (IO), with particular focus on empirical IO, and possess good pedagogical skills. The position involves teaching duties in theoretical and empirical IO.

The salary for the position is internationally competitive and the department has a bonus system for publications in selected journals. In addition, we provide ample support for research-related activities and conference travels.

At BI Norwegian Business School today, bachelor level classes are predominantly taught in Norwegian and master classes are taught in English. Applicants must be able to teach in Norwegian within 5 years. Language classes are sponsored by BI Norwegian Business School.

Scientific competence will be evaluated in accordance with the ordinary regulations for academic positions at universities and specialized university institutions.

Candidates will be evaluated by an external committee, and thereafter invited to interviews and seminar presentations.
