The Global Economy and Development program’s Workforce of the Future project is seeking a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to support new research and inform policy at the intersection of industrial development, worker mobility, and urban growth in times of technological disruption. This project researches the growth and decline of industries and worker transitions at a local level to provide regional policymakers with practical tools and explore well-trodden paths to economic mobility. The position will add to a team conducting research and building data-driven solutions that help policymakers catalyze worker mobility and inclusive growth, drawing from a variety of fields: network science, industrial organization, labor, and urban economics. The SPM will bring a mix of creativity, data analytics, and systematic project management skills, and will coordinate engagement with external stakeholders and with the research team to prioritize and align strategic outputs. The ideal candidate will have management experience and a track record of policy impact. Master’s degree required in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Policy, or related field. PhDs encouraged to apply. Minimum five years combined experience of policy analysis, research management, project management, and/or program development. Experience conducting empirical and/or qualitative research analysis is a plus.
