Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Yale School of the Environment invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Energy Economics. The successful candidate will work on both their own research in energy economics and support a major U.S. Department of Energy-funded project on the co-adoption of solar photovoltaics and related energy technologies under the supervision of Prof. Ken Gillingham. The project brings to bear unique data, and will allow a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and the effects on the electricity grid of co-adoption. The hire will be expected to perform econometric analyses, co-author papers, and participate fully in the environmental economics community at Yale. The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. focusing on topics in empirical environmental and energy economics with exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills, as well as an inclusive and flexible approach to collaborating with a diverse team of individuals and organizations. This is a one-year position with an expected reappointment for a second year upon satisfactory performance.
Yale values diversity among its students, staff, and faculty and strongly encourages applications from and nominations of women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and underrepresented minorities. Consideration of applicants will begin immediately, but applications will be accepted until March 1st.
