QES seeking senior level economist to join team. Position directly supports Chris Vellturo in mid/large-sized cases, generally leading case teams of 3-6 members. They are responsible for driving high-level strategy of the case, managing relationships with client, overseeing implementation of complex data analyses; creation of client deliverables; significant writing related to Chris’s expert reports.

Tasks include:
•fostering and maintaining close working relationships with clients, including provision of strategic input regarding damages issues for use by clients in development of legal strategies;
•developing microeconomics-based theoretical underpinnings for damages theories;
•high-level management of research/complex data analyses, including valuation of intellectual property, estimating impact of marketplace events using econometric models, and other analyses related to the calculation of economic damages;
•exposition of case background and damages theory for expert reports.

General Qualifications:
•Ph.D. in Economics preferred, equivalents considered (graduate work in econometrics and statistics essential; MBA or Masters candidates with research experience considered);
•experience managing cases directly for an expert (i.e., managing client relationship, significantly contributing to the preparation of expert reports) strongly preferred;
•minimum of five years’ prior experience in economic consulting (10-15 years preferred);
•experience with patent damages, commercial success, irreparable harm, antitrust, contract disputes, and trade secrets damages preferred
