The Northwestern University Department of Economics seeks to make a teaching-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction beginning September 1, 2021. Teaching-track faculty teach six undergraduate classes per year with 3-4 course preparations, in a mix of introductory, intermediate, and upper-level classes. The positions are not tenure-track, but are multiple-year and renewable. Compensation is highly competitive and the department is highly ranked. The hiring decision places highest priority on evidence of previous teaching success documented by student evaluations. Ph.D. required by 8/31/2021.
