The WORLD Policy Analysis Center at UCLA is the world's largest globally comparative law and policy data center with more than 2,000 law and policy indicators mapped across 193 countries, and linked to outcomes in over 90 countries, making it possible to undertake rigorous, cross-country global comparative research on how laws and policies are affecting equal rights, health, education, working conditions, and well-being, around the world. WORLD works in partnership with policymakers and civil society organizations globally, as well as with UN agencies.
The Policy Analyst will join this team and contribute to an exciting and unique effort to build new policy and legal rights areas and to advance our understanding of what countries are doing to promote human rights and human development. The Policy Analyst will also play a vital role in supporting work translating our research findings into action at the global, national and local levels. WORLD is looking for applicants with a strong background in public policy, social policy, law, economics, or related fields; rigorous research skills; and interest in evidence based impact. Strong writing, organizational, collaboration, and analytic skills are core this work. Experience working with foundations, multiple language fluency are a plus.
