Full Text of JOE Listing:
The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s undergraduate major and minor in Political Economy and Moral Science.
Teaching (60%) - Teach three courses per semester. These could include PPEL 101: Markets and Morality; PPEL 205: The Ethics and Economics of Wealth Creation; PPEL 150:Capitalism and Socialism; and PPEL 320: Classics in Political Economy.
Service (30%) - Coordinate the Global Program, assist the Undergraduate and Graduate Director, assist in ongoing and future departmental projects, attend meetings, etc.
Research (10%) - Research responsibilities include publishing in the PPE area, especially research complementary with the teaching responsibilities, and that can enhance the teaching by bringing cutting-edge debates and ideas into the classroom.
Area of Concentration in any of the following: PPE; political economy; political philosophy; ethics; political and economic institutions; comparative institutions; history of economic thought; public economics.
