The Department of Economics invites applications for one academic year (9 months) Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice position in labor economics (JEL classification J) or economic development (JEL classification O), and applied econometrics (JEL classification C1) starting fall semester 2021. The candidate will have a willingness and ability to become proficient in teaching SAS programming for data analytics.
Candidates must have a PhD in economics by August 16, 2021 and show evidence of high potential for excellence in teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in introductory economics, data analytics (econometrics), and other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Additional responsibilities include advising students and participating in other departmental activities as assigned by the department chair. The preferred candidate will have experience using face to face delivery, synchronous online delivery, and asynchronous online delivery.
