The School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs is an interdisciplinary community offering graduate programs in Public Policy and Administration, Urban Planning and Policy, Urban Informatics, and International Affairs, a joint JD/MS in Law and Public Policy, and undergraduate programs in Human Services, Urban Studies, and Law and Public Policy.
The position will support the University’s commitment to innovation and inclusion in teaching as well as the School’s commitment to social justice and racial justice through interdisciplinary transformative thinking and problem solving on issues of pressing concern to society at local, state, national, and international level. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished professional record with extensive expertise conducting policy-relevant economic analysis, an established capacity for developing researcher-practitioner partnerships, and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and leadership with a focus on economic equity and racial justice. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and applied research interests in one or more of the following areas: inequities and disparities in health, income/wealth, the labor market, education, housing, sustainability and resilience. Candidates should have demonstrated commitment to fostering diverse and inclusive environments as well as to promoting experiential learning, which are central to a Northeastern University education.
