Assistant/Associate Extension Professor – Farm and Agribusiness Management
100% Extension – 12-month appointment

Summary of Job Duties:
This position is a 12-month, non-tenure, 100% Extension appointment in the Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness at the University of Arkansas focusing on farm and agribusiness management. Relevant expertise for consideration for this position may include farm/agribusiness management and finance, value-added management and marketing, commodity marketing and risk management, crop insurance, and agricultural policy analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to build a national Extension program enhancing agricultural industry understanding of risk management strategic options and public policy issues, supporting that program with original applied research and extramural funding from competitive sources. This position will actively collaborate in outreach and applied research efforts with the Southern Risk Management Education Center located in the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Little Rock state office and the Fryar Price Risk Management Center for Excellence in the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Department on the University of Arkansas main campus in Fayetteville.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) An earned Doctorate in agricultural/applied economics, economics, or related fields from an accredited institution;
2) Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication ability, quantitative skills, and experience in collaborative scholarship;
3) Commitment to the active pursuit of a scholarship agenda consistent with the Land Grant mission leading to timely and relevant outreach programs and materials, refereed publications, professional presentations, and extramural funding;
4) Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Extension, land-grant system, or other industry/stakeholder engagement activities; experience in applied risk management, value-added enterprise evaluation, or policy analysis.
