The Department of Economics in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for two continuing-track (non-tenure track), full-time faculty positions. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate introductory micro and macroeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, and upper-division elective courses. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and to scholarly research. The standard teaching load is six courses per year, and continuing-track faculty are expected to remain scholarly active. Applicants must expect to complete a PhD in Economics or related field by the end of August of 2021.
Founded in 1743, the University of Delaware is located on an attractive campus in Newark, Delaware, roughly an hour from Philadelphia and Baltimore, and two hours from New York and Washington, D.C. UD is a state-assisted institution with a strong private endowment and selective admission. It is an R1 research university with very high research activity. The Department of Economics has 29 full-time faculty members, and offers Ph.D., MS, BA, and BS degrees.
