The Department of Economics at the American University of Beirut invites applications for one tenure-track assistant professor position effective January 15, 2022. The position is open to all fields of study in Economics. Primary considerations will be an outstanding research record, excellent recommendations, and a demonstrated ability in teaching.

The appointment is for an initial period of four years with opportunities for promotion and advancement. The teaching load is 4 courses a year. The language of instruction is English. Duties include teaching, research, and service. Applicants must have completed their PhD by the time of appointment.
