The Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization invites applications to join our interdisciplinary community of Scholars in Residence.
Selections will be made on the basis of candidates’ ability to promote the larger mission of the Benson Center, as described above. The Benson Center Scholar in Residence is a one-year, non-tenure-track, Scholar-in-Residence, at-will appointment.
Scholars in Residence should expect to teach one course in the fall and one course in the spring. They will additionally engage the learning mission of the University in other ways. They will participate regularly in the extended community of the Center and the home department through attendance at lectures, engagement with students, and participation in the academic life of the University.

The letter should articulate the intellectual significance of this project, the sort of tangible results that will be achieved by the end of the appointment, and how those results can contribute to the Center, a home department and the broader university community.
