The University of Queensland’s School of Economics (https://economics.uq.edu.au/) is a leading provider of economics education in Australia, and ranks in the top 50 among Economics departments worldwide for its research.

Located on the St Lucia campus as part of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, the School is home to more than 2100 domestic and international students, 14 professional staff and 60 active teaching and research staff. Its accomplished scholars claim a large share of Australia’s economics honours, national teaching awards, competitive research grants, fellowships, publications and media coverage. The School also has an established research centre and an active seminar and visitor program, providing exposure to researchers from around the world.

We are excited to be recruiting six senior appointments within our School of Economics:

Deputy Head of School (#513918)

This position will assist in providing leadership and management to the School of Economics, act as advocate within the School, and support the implementation of School and University strategic plans. This is a full-time position as a Professor or Associate Professor.

The position is part of the School governance structure and is integral to facilitating the delivery of an outstanding education environment for the School. This is a full-time position as either a Teaching Focused or a Teaching and Research Associate Professor.
