Rethink Priorities is a research organization dedicated to figuring out the best ways to make the world a better place. We aim to uncover insights to inform policymakers and major foundations about how to best set policy to help people and nonhuman animals.

About the role

We're currently seeking two researchers with a focus on Global Health and Development to join our team. Main research tasks will include conducting analyses and cost-effectiveness estimates of interventions aimed at improving the lives, physical and mental health of humans, reducing global poverty, and increasing global economic development. Some specific topics you might look into include tobacco policy, cognitive behavioral therapy interventions, migration policy, pandemic preparedness in low- and middle-income countries, geoengineering and climate change, science policy, intellectual property law reform, and more.

In this role, you'll help create concrete recommendations to advise the allocation of tens of millions of dollars a year among our interested audience of grantmakers, policymakers, and organization leaders on the best ways to effectively distribute funding to save lives and improve welfare.


This position is remote and open to candidates in most places in the world.
