We’re looking for an economist to join our Predictive Analytics research team within Moody’s Analytics. Our global team has a rich history of producing economic forecasts and analysis, as well as thought leadership across a host of macroeconomic disciplines. As part of this diverse team, you will leverage your skills and expertise in support of our continued innovation in macroeconomic modeling and research.

Responsibilities:
-Gain expertise in regional and global economies including forecasting and analysis.
-Regularly contribute original research and analysis of trends in U.S. and global economies to company publications.
-Assist in the monthly forecast process and perform quality checks for portions of the global macroeconomic model.
-Estimate model equations with suitable specifications and statistical diagnostics, with some supervision from senior staff.
-Participate in custom consulting for projects that range from modeling to written analysis.
-Work with senior staff to create new indicators and analytical tools.
-Lead teleconferences for individual clients and present at client conferences in partnership with senior staff.

Qualifications:
-Ph.D. in Economics, Econometrics, Data Science or a closely related quantitative field.
-Research experience in econometric and statistical modeling.
-Experience with programming tools such as Python, SAS, R, or Stata;.
-Strong written and oral communication skills.
