The Department of Economics invites applications to fill a full-time faculty position at the rank of professor with tenure, starting September 1, 2022, to hold the James and Chloe Epstein Professorship, with a focus on energy justice. The successful candidate will have an exceptional record of scholarly achievement in fields related to energy economics and environmental economics. Research at the intersection of these fields with research on corporate ESG activities is also of interest. The energy justice initiative at Tufts University is a cross disciplinary effort that brings together energy and environmental economics with evidence-based public policy. The successful candidate will play an active role in the Economics and Public Policy (EPP) doctoral program joint with the Fletcher School, and in a newly created interdisciplinary graduate certificate program in Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Investing housed in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning (UEP). Candidates are expected to command an outstanding research program, provide inclusive and excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervise student research.
