The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level from scholars with an interest in the monetary, financial and trade dimensions of global integration and international economics. Main topics include global financial flows and their impact on asset prices, macroeconomic adjustment and its role in financial crises. Policy initiatives that aim at regulating financial globalization are also important. Scholars whose research connects theory to evidence are especially encouraged to apply. Commensurate with their career stage, candidates should have an excellent and sustained record of research and evidence of potential or demonstrated ability to generate extramural funding.
The appointment will begin on July 1, 2022, subject to final budgetary approval. A completed Ph.D. is required by the time of appointment. The Department is committed to a pluralistic approach to economics, including the comparison and critical analysis of a variety of theoretical paradigms.
