The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track position at any rank in the area of the Economics of Race, Class, and Gender. The successful candidate's research program would address some of the many ways race, gender, and class inequalities shape economic outcomes, with a focus on policy implications and crafting solutions to persistent social injustices. The Department is committed to a pluralistic approach to economics, and values feminist, institutional, and historical analyses, and interdisciplinary perspectives. The successful candidate would teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. The courses in the department include US Economic History, Political Economy of Race, Class, Gender, Current Economic Problems, Economy and Society, and Feminist Economics. The graduate program emphasizes economic history and political economy as well as the standard macro, micro and statistics sequences. We encourage applications from new, junior and senior economists. Candidates should have a research program consistent with stage of career.
