The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position in Health Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor with a starting date of July 1, 2022.

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD in Economics or be close to completion. Entry-level candidates must demonstrate outstanding potential for teaching and research. The position is open ONLY to candidates in Health Economics. Responsibilities will include maintaining an active research program, teaching in both undergraduate and graduate student programs, and graduate student research supervision.

A health economist at the University of Alberta would have opportunities to collaborate with scholars in our College of Health Sciences and elsewhere, as well as at the Edmonton-based Institute for Health Economics.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Evaluation of applications will be ongoing until the deadline of November 19, 2021. The Department will be considering candidates for online interviews starting in December.
