The Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development(ISSCAD) was initiated by Chinese President XI Jinping during the High-Level Roundtable on South-South Cooperation at the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the United Nations in New York on September 26, 2015. The Institute provides both degree education and non-degree executive training programs for middle and senior level officials, as well as managers and researchers from government, academia, the media, NGOs and other organizations in developing countries.

The Institute is now offering several tenure-track positions at all levels in all fields, particularly in development economics and public economics. Experienced candidates are preferably welcome. Teaching will be conducted in English at graduate levels. All vacancies require a Ph.D. in social sciences, in economics, political science or public policy. A normal teaching load is two courses a year. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with respective qualifications and experiences.

All positions should be applied for by December 10, 2021. Candidates interviews will be conducted in early January.
