The Center for Tobacco Research Center (CTR) at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) is recruiting a post-doctoral fellow who aspires to become an independent researcher focused on substance use prevention and control. The post-doctoral fellow will work primarily with Ce Shang, PhD on projects using stated preference methods and economic modeling to evaluate the tax structure impact on substance use. Opportunities are available for interdisciplinary mentoring and training in areas of regulatory science, preference research (e.g., medical decision-making), and health economics and policy. The research and training environment of The OSU and OSUCCC, a National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer center, provide access to unparalleled resources to enrich fellows’ research training experience and career development.
Qualifications: PhD in health or behavioral economics, health policy, public health, psychology, communication, or other relevant area. Experience with preference methods (e.g., discrete choice experiments and best-worst scaling), portfolio in substance use or other health-related areas, and excellent writing skills are preferred.
