Full Text of JOE Listing:
J-PAL South Asia at the Institute of Financial Research and Management in India, seeks a Post-doctoral Research Fellow to support its emerging government partnerships to help address India’s clean energy transition. This position is under the J-PAL’s King Climate Action Initiative.
The Fellow will spend at least 60% of their time developing and working on new research topics. Some of these could be working closely with Prof. Teevrat Garg (Assistant Professor, UCSD) on field experiments on climate action related topics, that can inform the evolving national policies in India, and strengthen implementation in Indian states. The Fellow will spend their remaining time developing new research project opportunities and leading advisory inputs to government partners on strengthening data capabilities, accessibility and data use for research and policy design.
The Fellow is expected to bring in a combination of cutting edge technical skills relevant for working with data in the energy sector, expertise in research methodology and a sound understanding of scientific/engineering aspects.
