The Department of Economics at The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts in New York City seeks applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to begin Fall 2022.
We seek scholars with a significant record of research excellence and a commitment to continuing productivity in research, together with a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and a commitment to high-quality, student-centered, undergraduate and graduate teaching. Our program has a distinctive history and profile in the economics profession, and we are seeking a scholar whose research is steeped in political economy, heterodox economics, and the history of economic thought. The annual teaching load consists of four classroom courses (typically, two undergraduate, two graduate), and a fifth course comprised of dissertation supervision. Salary commensurate with experience.
