The Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy in Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have considerable promise to conduct high quality research in industrial organization and, more generally, applied microeconomics. This is non-tenure track position with an initial term (potentially renewable) for two years, beginning in August 2022. Of particular interest are scholars who examine competition, regulation or innovation and those whose research focuses on the economics of, and economic policies directed toward, newly emerging business models and industries. It is expected that the Research Assistant Professor will conduct independent research, collaborate with other faculty on emerging research projects, and be an active participant in other aspects of the Center’s work. There are no teaching requirements.
The Georgetown Center provides a competitive salary plus support for travel and research-related expenses. The successful candidate will join an active economics research community, have ample opportunities to connect with new collaborators, and present and obtain feedback on their own research.
