The University of St. Thomas Department of Economics invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning September 1, 2022.
We invite applications from candidates in the areas of health, environmental, or behavioral economics; candidates with a concentration in health or related fields will be given some preference. In addition to sharing in the teaching of Principles of Microeconomics, the successful candidate may teach courses in microeconomic theory or econometrics, as well as undergraduate courses related to the candidate’s area(s) of interest. The typical teaching load consists of 3 courses (2 preparations) per semester in a small-class setting. The department seeks candidates who are committed to high quality undergraduate instruction (including engaging students in research), and a productive research agenda.
PhD (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics or related field is required. Alternatively, ABD nearing completion will also be considered with initial appointment at the rank of Instructor, if PhD is not completed by September 1, 2022.
