Full Text of JOE Listing:
The University of Connecticut Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Successful candidates will contribute to the mission of the university through research and teaching that address issues in economic development or socioeconomic disparities with application to the Northeastern U.S. Relevant areas of interest include: income and wealth inequality, urban and rural economic development, climate change adaptation strategies, spatial distribution of economic activity, environmental justice, public policy evaluation, and racial equity. We will consider researchers from any economic discipline working in these areas, including development, agriculture, public health, labor, housing, industrial organization, education, and environmental economics.
The position has an anticipated start date of August 23, 2022 in a full-time, nine-month tenure-track position. Duties include a 50/50 split between teaching and research, with expectations for service. Teaching responsibilities include three courses at the graduate and/or undergraduate level annually and student advising.
