ESU’s School of Business seeks non-tenure-track assistant professor, beginning August 2022, to teach Managerial Economics and Quantitative Methods in our MBA-Global program and on campus. ESU offers MBA-Global in partnership with Tsinghua University, China, predominantly online with periodic on-the-ground weekend sessions in Beijing. Courses are taught in Mandarin; the position requires fluency in English and Mandarin and travel to China three times per year.
Requires PhD or ABD in Economics or terminal qualifications in a related discipline. Applicants should have potential for scholarly research. Candidates must exhibit excellent teaching, and be prepared to make contributions through service to ESU and the community. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to the ESU Diversity and Inclusion Statements.
ESU is a comprehensive university with enrollment of approximately 5,800. The School of Business has 30 faculty and approximately 1100 students. Emporia has 24,000 residents, rich cultural heritage, diversified economy based on agriculture, 30+ manufacturing enterprises, and major retail shopping and wholesale facilities.
