The Department of Economics within the College of Business at Central Washington University seeks applicants for a tenure-track, assistant professor position beginning September 1st, 2022. The department has six full-time faculty members and currently offers an attractive teaching load (2 courses per quarter) with small classes and a relaxed teaching environment. The Central Washington University campus is located in Ellensburg, a small community 110 miles from Seattle, WA.
In addition to teaching courses in Principles of Microeconomics/Macroeconomics, the candidate will teach econometrics, business analytics, and will ideally have an interest in developing or teaching project-based data-analytics oriented courses. Depending on the needs of our department and candidate interests, the candidate may also teach courses in International Economics, Forecasting, Macroeconomics, Behavioral Economics, Health Economics and other applied economics fields.
We are looking for an exceptional teacher with an applied focus. Our current faculty research focus lies in macroeconomics, labor, and environmental economics, and we are looking for faculty that can either complement these fields or add to the department with a new field. Members of the faculty are expected to advise students and to produce published research.
