Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Economics, Agricultural Production and Agricultural and Food Economics and Management (tenure-track). The Department of Applied Economics, within the College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University, seeks to hire an Assistant Professor, tenure-track, with a strong interest in food and agribusiness economics and management and/or agricultural production. The incumbent will develop cutting-edge programs to support extension/outreach and applied economics research related to agricultural production and agricultural and food business management with a focus on Oregon and the Pacific Northwest; provide input into state-level economic policies and annual reports; assess the impact of shifting federal priorities on agricultural producers; and support enterprise budgeting. Outreach and applied research interests may include innovations in specialty crop production practices; changing labor legislation and its impacts on agricultural producers; climate change adaptation in agricultural sectors and sustainability of food systems. The incumbent will teach up to three 10-week quarter classes per year in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs of the department. Applicants must hold a PhD in agricultural economics, applied economics, economics or related field. Start date is September 2022.
