The EconCS group at Yale University is a group of faculty and students, who are interested in research at the interface between Economics and Computer Science. The group builds on the existing strengths in the Departments of Economics and Computer Science at Yale University and includes experts in both Economic Theory and Theoretical Computer Science.
The EconCS group at Yale University is offering a fully-funded postdoctoral position to work with Professor Dirk Bergemann and Professor Yang Cai in the broadly-defined area of Economics and Computation / Algorithmic Game Theory. Fellowships provide an opportunity for new PhD’s to focus on developing a strong research program in a stimulating collegial environment alongside the faculty of the Departments of Economics and Computer Science at Yale University.
Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science or Economics prior to the beginning of the fellowship. Candidates are also expected to have a strong background in algorithmic game theory and a strong publication record.
Resident Fellows are expected to be present on the Yale campus three full days per week, contribute to research and publications, and participate in seminars and conferences at Yale. Fellows are strongly urged to reside in the New Haven area.
The Resident Fellowships will starting in the Fall of 2022 and last for one year; fellows may apply for a second year of support. Fellows will also receive an affiliation with the Cowles Foundation.
