We are currently seeking a Research Economist in Environmental Economics and Policy/Sustainable Development for our Department of Socio-Economic Research. This is a great opportunity to be part of a multi-skilled and multicultural team that conducts high-quality policy-oriented research on development issues.

The activities of the position include:
-Contribute to the preparation of policy reports, aimed at providing recommendations informed by the relevant scientific knowledge.
-Conduct high-quality academic research for publication in refereed journals.
-Provide expert advisory in the operations and specific projects of the bank, interacting with both bank staff and policy makers in our shareholder countries.
-Present policy and research products to academic and non-academic audiences.

We are interested in economists working on environmental economics, energy economics, sustainable development and related topics. Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and quantitative abilities are required. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
