The University of Chicago Consortium on School Research (UChicago Consortium), a unit in the Urban Education Institute at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice, invites applications for an appointment as a Senior Research Associate (SRA). The UChicago Consortium is a research-practice partnership that investigates how programs, policies, and practices are working in the Chicago Public Schools. The SRA will conduct original research consistent with the Consortium model, applying rigorous methods to answer questions of policy and practice in collaboration with educational stakeholders. The candidate will also provide guidance to other researchers at the Consortium on how to conduct rigorous research and engage with policymakers and school practitioners.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctorate in a social science discipline or statistics. Evidence of expertise and impact in educational research through at least 10 publications (books, articles, reports or book chapters) that have been cited by other scholars is preferred. Candidates should have worked with policymakers in a local district and/or in the federal government. Candidates with expertise in the areas of post-secondary, early childhood, or curriculum and instruction and strong quantitative or mixed-methods analytical skills are preferred.
