J-PAL’s Global office at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, is recruiting a Research Manager as part of J-PAL’s Research, Education, and Training (RET) team.
The research manager will work closely with J-PAL’s regional offices to expand and assess J-PAL’s activities to grow and diversify its researcher pipeline. They will also support J-PAL’s capacity building work through developing written resources for early career researchers, technical learning series for internal staff, preparing and teaching sessions at J-PAL’s annual research staff trainings, and more.
The research manager is expected to bring in a combination of strong technical skills and field experience and be passionate about expanding access to high quality economics training.
This position offers the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally to liaise with J-PAL’s regional offices, lead trainings on location, and attend courses and conferences on relevant topics. The selected candidate will have the chance to work with J-PAL affiliated researchers, external stakeholders, and J-PAL regional offices to promote evidence-informed policy around the globe and increase diversity in the economics discipline.
