The Department of Economics invites applications to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Qualified applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching in a baccalaureate liberal arts setting; a serious interest in and potential for quality scholarship; enthusiasm for service in the university and surrounding community; and have the ability to offer a range of undergraduate economics courses, including core theory courses. Candidates with interest and ability to teach health economics, public economics, monetary economics, and/or international economics, as well as courses using R or Python, are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in economics, applied economics, or agricultural economics should be completed by the time of appointment.
The position will support majors in economics as well as provide service courses to majors in business, data science, environmental studies, international relations, and sports management. Applications received by Tuesday February 15, 2022 will receive priority consideration.
